Multani is a raga with tremendous gravitas. This afternoon raga reveals itself in a stark contrasting interplay of passion and pathos, just as the incessant blaze of the summer afternoon sun that wears down the mind and body, is also a source of life and energy.

This was performed at “Meeting Rivers”, a special concert showcasing a confluence of gharanas styles, presented by First Edition Arts, Mumbai, in December 2018.
